Overture on a Spanish March Theme - Wind Band

Wind Band - Balakirev's Overture on a Spanish March Theme raises more associations with Massenet (Le Cid) than with Capriccio Espagnole by Rimsky Korsakov. This composition draws the expulsion of the Moors from Spain. Balakirev dedicated this in 1857 composed work to Lyudmila Ivanovna Schestakowa, wife of composer Mikhail Glinka.
