Fanfare Band - Highlights from a Long Escape is a musical impression of a World Cup cycling race from start to finish. It starts with the gathering of the riders and signing before the start. The different cycling nationalities are audible. After leaving the group stays together long. Familiar sounds are heard from the cycle event, such as the typical horn sounds of the following cars. At one point the competition starts and a leading group arises. From the leading group one rider escapes and is ahead long time. Will he reach the finish line before he is cought?
