Fulco de Minstreel - Fanfare Band
Fanfare Band - Fulco is the faithful servant of Gijsbrecht of IJsselstein. Actually he is not a minstrel, but the story will tell you why he is so called, and that story is set in 1297. After a fanfare-like opening we hear daily life in the Utrecht IJsselstein from that time. Gijsbrecht is on the way to his bride Bertha van Arkel to marry her on the beautiful castle Heukelom. At the party and the tournament in honor of the bride and groom held that the cruel and power-hungry Henry of Vianen not stand losing kan.Op the tournament trying knights riding towards each other with a long lance of the horse disposal. Meanwhile tries Fulk his master free. He dresses up as a minstrel and together with some musicians he goes to the castle where Gijsbrecht imprisoned. They come in at just the party that is going on. They play so long until everyone is asleep drunk. Then frees Fulk his master and together they rush back to IJsselstein. The castle is still besieged by Hendrik van Vianen but after a courageous battle to Lady Bertha is forced to surrender. She has the 15 remaining knights long persisted. Henry can hardly believe it. They are sent to the castle Aloud in Dordrecht to where Bertha and her knights are sentenced to the gallows. The people along the side during the trip to the gallows was angry about the fact that a woman of noble lineage, the noose gets. Everyone mort but nobody dares to take a stand against Aloud. Among the people are also Gijsbrecht IJsselstein and his servant Fulk. Using the grumbling people they know the cruel Aloud by surprise and Bertha and her knights to liberate. What remains is a happy ending where Fulk, as a reward for his faithful services, to knight is beaten.
