An Ancient Fairy Suite - Wind Band

Wind Band - An Ancient Fairy Suite is inspired by a famous fairy tale about a poor girl who marries a prince because the glass slipper only fits her foot. The piece consists of ten scenes, each with its own musical character. The girl's lament, the fleeting first meeting with the prince, help from the bird kingdom for the ball gown, the festive ball and the clock running down, the search and grand denouement, the dazzling wedding party including disco, it all passes by.
