Fanfare Band - The Mandarin's Son is a comic opera by César Antonovitsj Cui. He commited the opera to his wife Malvina Bamberg. After the death of the composer this opera ran into oblivion. In 1998 the opera was rediscovered and has since been performed on a regularly basis.
