Symphonie Nr. 5 - Wind Band
Wind Band - The 5th Symphony by Gustav has 5 five parts. Mahler himself conducted the premiere in 1904 in Cologne. The most recognizable part of the symphony is the beginning, which is characterized by a funebre-like trumpet solo.
Mahler's 5th sounds different than his earlier symphonies. Where the earlier symphonies sound like the human voice, the fifth is a clear decline to the strict form of the music.
