Snapshots - Fanfare Band

Fanfare Band - In this paper, different musical worlds confront each other. The title (snapshots in Dutch) refers to the rapid alternation of musical elements in introductie.Onderliggend idea is a fantasy about the origin of the western wind music from jazz and African folk music. In the long introductory phrases exchange from the wind music and jazz together at high speed, sometimes overlapping. Then follows the central theme: one on the African polyrhythms borrowed 4 on 3 bass as a base covered with a jazzy riff. About the same bass playing bugles and horns a written improvisation, after all the above again transformed the revue passes.
