Slavonic Fantasy - Fanfare Band

Fanfare Band - From composer Carl Hhne (1870-1930) is unfortunately no or very little biographical information. In the catalog of Schediwy one finds, however, two letters from C. Hhne, kniglicher Kammermusikus an der Deutschen Oper Berlin, dated August and October 1895. In these letters, five reviews included on solo concerts Hhne in Germany and Switzerland played. He composed mainly work for trumpet / cornet and piano. His Slavonic Fantasy has also composed for trumpet / cornet and piano. It is a glorious rhapsodisch work often reminiscent of the famous Czardas by Monti. Dramatically slow passages and cadences alternate with virtuosic fast passages.
