Seterslätt - Fanfare Band
Fanfare Band - Composer Jan Magne Førde, born in 1962, is already more than 25 years as a professional musician and composer. He has over 250 compositions and arrangements made in diversity ranging from small solo piece for voice to work for symphony orchestra.
His composition "Seterslätt" (Mountain Air) was composed for the Winter Olympics in Lillehammer (Norway) in 1994. The main theme is inspired by the characteristic tones of the "Hardanger" violin. A constantly changing bassline is associated with an intense rhythm. The melodic line is fresh and cheerful. This is based on a Norwegian folk song theme was often sung and whistled by shepherds in the Norwegian mountains and fjords.
