Return - Fanfare Band

Fanfare Band - The piece is divided into three major segments. The first part is written in a sort of impressionistic style, including impressions of Schoonhoven, where the composer spent his youth. After solid chord formations is a small solo soprano, who later octotonisch be answered on alto sax. Impressions of the carillon Schoonhovense follow not (as you would expect) on tubular bells, but on bugles and trumpets, saxophones after the burst. The main theme in C minor is based on a well drawn out structure, that of a blues progression is derived. It does not sound like a blues and there is no rhythm section. The method based on a blues-like structure entirely different from a blues to compose is also known in the work of Duke Ellington, one of the composers who Ruud Bergamin high priority has, besides eg Debussy, Ravel, Stravinsky, Thelonious Monk and Gil Evans. Probably sounds of their sound world here and there by anything in return. After an accelerated motion follows the 2nd part with small jazz ensemble (to form the members of the band). There are some solos. These can be gemproviseerd on the specified chord progression, but there are also ad lib written solos added for musicians who do not improvise. The jazz section is closed by a tutti passage in a different key (Eb minor) with the necessary additions and vote against it. In the third section you will return to the old pace and variety of elements from the first part come in varied shape.
