Prince Kholmsky: Interlude to Act II and IV - Wind Band
Wind Band - Glinka, among other things, wrote music for a few theater plays. One of those plays for is the drama about Prince Vasily Danilovich Kholmsky who lived from 1460 to 1524. Prince Kholmsky was a son-in-law of Prince Ivan III. The play is about the wars that took place between the army of Ivan III and other nationalities. The Interludes are intermezzos between various parts of the play. He composed these Interludes in 1840.
