Pictures at an Exhibition - Fanfare Band

Fanfare Band - Pictures at an Exhibition is a famous suite of 15 famous pieces which Mussorgsky in 1874 wrote for piano. Mussorgsky composed this work in memory of his friend, the artist and architect Viktor Hartmann in 1873 at the age of 39 died. The original title of this composition was 'Hartmann'. Mussorgsky selected drawings and paintings that Hartmann had made and composed the accompanying music. Many composers and arrangers worked this piano music for orchestra. Maurice Ravel orchestrated in 1922, perhaps the best known and most famous version.
