Peer Gynt Suite Nr.1 - Fanfare Band
Fanfare Band - Edvard Grieg wrote the incidental music to Henrik Ibsen's Peer Gynt. Part 1 'Morgenstimmung' evokes the image of an early, sunny morning Scandinavian. In Part 2 'Ase's Death "is the death of Ase, the mother of Peer Gynt, musically displayed. Part 3 is "Anitra's Tanz", an exotic mazurka which is danced by the daughter of a bedoenenleider that Peer Gynt met during an African adventure. In the last part, "In der Halle des Bergsknigs' is his fearful escape from the hall of the trolls of Norwegian highlands displayed.
