Paganini Variations - Fanfare Band

Fanfare Band - Commissioned by the BBC are composed Wilby Paganini Variations for Band of the Year 1991, the Grimethorpe Colliery Band. The first performance took place on May 10, 1991 in the studios of the BBC in Manchester. The famous melody dates from the 24th Capriccio by the Italian composer Paganini. On this melody composed Wilby 16 variations in different musical styles, from romantic gloom over to brillante style, with the theme still preserved.
