Ossensia - Fanfare Band

Fanfare Band - Ossensia is a two-year multidisciplinary project that the city of Oss in all its facets. Ossensia was at the time of the wars written by city archivist Jan Cunen and constitutes one of the sources of Oss and its inhabitants. Cunens historical considerations stories of the first neighborhoods and how in the course of time built up and extended. Eight young contemporary national and international artists working in the Museum Jan Cunen Oss each with its own exhibition space in which they have been allocated for two years represent a neighborhood. The Museum Jan Cunen and fanfare Hartog Oss composer Leon Vliex have approached the project Ossensia musical expression. The composer has this inspired by the vision of the artists on the six designated neighborhoods and historical information about the neighborhoods known. The result is a six-part composition in which we hear in succession the verklankingen of: 1) DINOSAURS: a young, dynamic neighborhood, characterized by a playful musical theme; 2) Ruwaard: a neighborhood in which predominantly high-rise a monotonous picture. This comes in the music reflected by strong repetitive figures. In the middle of the district is a flat that popularly the "Hunker Bunker" is mentioned. Youngsters come as a bachelor in Hunker Bunker and leave it flat again as a married couple. This fact is by means of a lyric passage in the middle of the second part performs. 3) HARE AKKER: An area in the green and quiet pride which large trees and beautiful houses adorn the face. 4) ZEEHELDENKWARTIER NEIGHBORHOOD: An exciting restless rhythm represents an ever-present tension in the district where previously crime flourished. This part ends suddenly, just like the neighborhood where all living areas degraded. 5) THE OIJENSE SHE: This district is in a Baroque style displays a dancing character. 6) Vogelwijk: The Vogelwijk the Slavic culture displayed.
