Orfeo & Euridice (Ouverture) - Wind Band
Wind Band - The overture to the opera, perhaps best known of these componist.Christophe Willibald Ritter von Gluck was on 2 July 1714 in Erasbach born as the first of nine children of a forester. In 1717 the family moved to Bhmen, where Father von Gluck as a forester entered the service of Prince Philipp von Lobkowitz Hyazinth. Christophe studied at the University of Prague and was both singer and cellist. From 1737 he was in Milan, where he spent four years composition lessons from Sammartini. At his first appearance as a composer he was 27 years old. Then on December 26, 1741 in Milan staged his opera Artaserse. Orfeo & Euridice is the first fruit of the collaboration with the librettist Ranieri Calzabigi. Both introduced themselves to the goal (Italian) opera completely renovate. The opera Orfeo & Euridice received on 5 October 1762 in the Italian language premiere in Vienna.
