Martha: Overture - Fanfare Band

Fanfare Band - Martha is an opera in four acts which on November 25, 1874 in Krntnertortheater to Vienna premiere went. The opera is set in Richmond in the early 18th century, during the reign of Queen Anne of England (1702-1714). This overture begins with a slow introduction in A-minor, but changes quickly to an A major theme. This theme is the prayer of Lyonel in the third act Mag der Himmel euch vergeben hear. After the musical exhibiting some main characters from the opera turns the prayer motif of Lyonel at the end of the overture again.
