Lamento - Wind Band
Wind Band - Johann Sebastian Bach (Eisenach, March 21, 1685 - Leipzig, July 28, 1750) was a German composer, harpsichordist, organist, violinist and conductor of baroque music. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential composers in the history of classical music and is considered by many as a genie.Zijn oeuvre stands out in particular by large compositional-technical skills and strong emotional expressiveness. It is a unique and very personal synthesis of the achievements of the polyphonic music of the monody: a highlight of the musical Baroque and of great significance for many composers with him and (especially) after him. In the treatment of the musical forms and genres Bach achieved in the combination of polyphony and harmony, a quality which the limits of what until then realized was far overschreed.Bachs oeuvre encompasses virtually all styles and forms that were current in his time, with exception of opera. One of the distinctive features of Bach's compositions is complex and ingenious use of counterpoint. More than other composers Bach is associated with the fuga.Het 3-piece Violin Concerto No. 2 in E major BWV 1042 Bach composed in 1723. The second part of this violin concerto comes this Lamento (lament).
