La Strada Romana - Wind Band
Wind Band - This work was composed in 2001 for harmony Semper Unitas from Sambeek. The composition served as warm-up work for competition participation of the Society in that year. In a tour of the village left the composer was inspired by the mighty Lindeboom (the oldest in the Netherlands), and the tower above the river with its locks and floods. Moreover Sambeek where in Roman times two major transport roads crossed. These data, interwoven with the centenary vibrant association, provided a composition in which the Sambeekse community and its harmony central staan.Zeer suitable as inspeelwerk during a competition. Also a wonderful opening or interlude during concerts. The work has Respighiaanse influences
