Jeux d’Enfants - Wind Band
Wind Band - Although Georges Bizet (1838-1975) is best known as a composer of operas like Carmen and The Pearl Fishers, he was also a virtuoso pianist. Yet his piano compositions not too great familiarity obtained at n after work; Jeux denfants (children's games). Bizet composed the suite of twelve volumes in 1871 for piano four hands during the last year of the war between France and Prussia. Each part represents a doddle and also has the basic form an existing music form consistent with the character of the game. Five of these twelve parts machined Bizet later for symphony orchestra, Part 1 (Marche: Trompette et tambour) is a march marching soldiers proposes. In Section 2 (Berceuse: La Poupe) the doll depicted by a sweet melody, supported by a rocking accompaniment. The Impromptu Part 3 (La Toupie-toll) depicts running a toll out. The fourth part (Petit Marie, petite femme mothers and fathers) is a duo. The last part Le Bal (the ball) ends the suite into a gallop the entire orchestra.
