Jazz Suite Nr.2 - Part 6: Second Waltz - Fanfare Band

Fanfare Band - The Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich wrote his Jazz Suite Nr. 2 in 1938 commissioned by the Russian State Orchestra for Jazz. This orchestra was then under the musical direction of Serge Koussevitzky. As in his first suite also comes in this second jazz suite the genius and the sense of humor of the composer strongly evident. Although the name suggests that with real unadulterated jazz deal, this is not entirely true. On the contrary, the composition contains virtually no jazz elements. It's more of a ballet suite western especially Viennese - influences from the romance. Part 6 of the Jazz-Suite Nr. 2 of Shostakovich's a waltz. This roller is actually a Viennese waltz "La Johann Strauss". The attempts of Shostakovich to align them with the western romance are very clearly audible. This roll was immensely popular in the Netherlands by the interpretation of Andr Rieu and his Strauss Orchestra. Daily was this interpretation several times on radio and TV to hear and see. This "classic" melody came to the Mega Top 50 and stood right in the shortest time number 1 on the pop-up list! These operations for harmony and brass are a guaranteed success in the popular area of \u200b\u200byour concert. It is really a "must" on a New Year's Concert.
