Het Dorp - Fanfare Band

Fanfare Band - Het Dorp has become very famous by the performance of Wim Sonneveld. This originally French song has been translated into Dutch by Friso Wiegersma (pseudonym Hugo Verhage). Sonneveld sings emotionally about Wiegersma's village at the reunion of Deurne, which is battered by progress. The well-known verse from the song, And along the garden path of my father, refers to the path next to the parental home of Wiegersma. This fanfare band version is only to be performed with voice!
