Fanfare Band - Richard Wagner (Leipzig, May 22, 1813 - Venice, 13 February 1883) was an important innovator in the music of his time. He composed several operas as important works which he himself rather as music and drama which he also denoted own texts (libretti) wrote. He sought a perfect union of words, music and drama. Eventually there came a grand muziekdramas eventually in a separate purpose built theater were (and are) performed in the Bavarian town Bayreuth.Wagner also wrote many occasional pieces. So he composed early August 1844 in Dresden the song signaller Treuen Gruss an den Friedrich August Geliebten. He wrote this song to celebrate the return of King Friedrich August II after a longer stay of this monarch in England. The first performance of this composition took place on 12 August 1844 in the large castle park of the king, Schloss Pillnitz in Dresden Park. According to the description of Wagner who was present at this execution would be more than 300 singers participated in the execution.
