Far Away from Home - Wind Band

Wind Band - Far Away from Home describes Scott's boat trip from New Zealand to Antarctica, the arrival on the Ross Ice Shelf, the grueling journey to the south, and great disappointment to discover that not his team but the Norwegian team led by Amundsen was to reach the South Pole first. The three bell strokes towards the end of the piece announce their death, and the heroic theme escalates by way of homage.
