Entry of the Boyars - Fanfare Band
Fanfare Band - The Boyars were a class within the aristocracy in Russia, Bulgaria and Moldova (Romania) falling just under the Tsar or prince. Their power was to be read from facial hair: the Boyars in the highest position wore a beard, those in lower positions were only entitled to a mustache. In this arrangement the saxophone creates the image of a group Boyars marching in on horseback from a distance.
