Dialogue, Song and Capriccio - Fanfare Band
Fanfare Band - Jan van Hulten (Kerkrade, 1956) graduated majoring in trumpet and music education at the Conservatory of Maastricht. When Piet Stalmeier he took lessons then wind band-management and contrapunt.Aangespoord by Piet Jan van Hulten Stalmeier began in the eighties of the last century to write for band. Underneath "Dialogue, Song and Capriccio", a three-part composition in traditional klankidioom.Het first part Dialogue, is constructed according to the schedule fast-slow-fast. The part is very rhythmic intent, is full of time signature changes and leaves a constant interaction between the different instrument groups horen.Het second part song's main theme is a lilting melody, which the saxophones is introduced and then by the whole orchestra contrapuntal elaborated . The minor theme, the main melody precedes, and is later varied with the main theme samengevoegd.Het Capriccio third part consists of four short themes of different character but with melodic kinship. Also in this section are the constant time signature changes remarkably. At the end of this section are short whimsical motifs from the first part processed.
