Caucasische Epode - Wind Band
Wind Band - This original composition for large symphonic orchestra was composed in 1994 by Alexander Comitas (a pseudonym for Eduard de Boer), commissioned by the Dutch Institute for Band (NIB) in Utrecht. This composition is in the main or sonata form, with a slow introduction to opening. In this introduction, though some themes gexposeerd in the subsequent allegro section an important role to play. The beginning actually consists of two elongated melodies - one fortissimo and the other piano - always interrupting each other and alternate. The soft parts together constitute more or less the "secondary theme" in the allegro sonata form. This theme is also cousins \u200b\u200bin turn in the recapitulation contrapuntally combined with one of the themes from the allegro gedeelte.Deze composition has its world premiere on July 28, 1995 received in Hamamatsu (Japan) during the final concert of the international WASBE Conference 1995 by the National Youth Wind Orchestra conducted by Jan Cober and also during all concerts of the "Japan Tour 1995" of this orchestra were performed.
