Carmen Suite - Wind Band
Wind Band - Carmen "worked" by the Russian composer Rodion Shchedrin for five percussionists and orchestra. In thirteen volumes to 4 percussionists and 1 timpanist in a very special way this great work to life. Something unique for each concert! Rodion Shchedrin was born in Moscow in 1932 as the son of a composer and music teacher. He attended the choir school of Moscow and then studied at the conservatory there. In 1955 he graduated in piano and composition courses. His first major work he wrote when he had reached the age of 20 years. Shchedrin has often performed his own works in the Bolshoi theater, including the famous ballet "Carmen Suite" for percussion and orchestra.
