Calm after the Storm - Fanfare Band

Fanfare Band - The number Calm after the Storm of The Common Linnets was the Dutch entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark. With this song The Netherlands reached second place at the Eurovision Song Contest. In addition, the song won two Marcel Bezençon Awards at the festival. The Common Linnets are a duo consisting of the Dutch singers Ilse DeLange and Waylon. This song is about the separation between two lovers. After the first emotions running high (storm) they both consent (calm) in the inevitable. The arrangements builds up both in dynamics and instrumentation.
