Fanfare Band - Tota pulcha es Like his father and grandfather was Anton Bruckner (1824-1896) destined to the mountain village schoolmaster Ansfelden-sexton be. When Anton was 13 years old his father died, allowing Anton to the convent school of St. Florian (near Linz) went. He was Sngerknabe and received lessons in organ, piano and violin. After his graduation he became a teacher in Sankt Florian, and a year later convent organist. His first compositions appeared: a Mass in C for soli, 2 horns and organ and symphony Nulde. He also received a state grant to compose. The Linzer Bishop Rudigier was one of his most loyal supporters. The Bruckner composed by Marian Antiphon Tota pulcha es was dedicated to Bishop Rudigier the occasion of his silver jubilee.
