Fanfare Band - The American composer Lowell Mason was born on January 8, 1792 in Medfield, Massachusetts (USA) and died on 11 August 1872 in Orange, New Jersey. He was the leading figure in American church music. He composed more than 1,600 ecclesiastical hymns, many of them today are gezongen.De American film composer James Horner composed the music for the film Titanic. He used the hymn Nearer my God to Thee by Mason in this film. The orchestra of the Titanic played this hymn during the sinking of this ship.
