Avond - Wind Band

Wind Band - The original version of Avond was written in 1973 as De Avond by De Groot and Nijgh for the album In De Uren Van De Middag by Rob de Nijs. The text was written by Nijgh while he was married to Anja Bak. When De Groot married the same Bak years later, he re-recorded the song out of love for her. He adapted the text and added new music. Avond appeared in 1996 on the album Een Nieuwe Herfst, De Groots first album since 1984.
