Adagio for Rehtaeh Anne Parsons - Wind Band

Wind Band - The composition is dedicated to the memory of Rehtaeh Anne Parsons. She was a 17-year-old student at Cole Harbor District High School in April 2013 when she committed suicide at her home in Dartmouth, New Scozia, Canada. Her death is attributed to the online dissemination of photos of an alleged gang rape that took place 17 months prior to her suicide in November 2011. Investigations and the parents' persistent struggle led to public debates and stricter legislation against cyberbullying and the illegal distribution of intimate images in Canada.
