Ensemble - Johann Sebastian Bach (Eisenach, March 21, 1685 - Leipzig, July 28, 1750) was a German composer, harpsichordist, organist, violinist and conductor of baroque music. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential composers in the history of classical music and is considered by many as a genius. The chorale Jesu, meine Freude is a five-part motet for chorus and bears the number BWV 227. This motet is chronologically difficult to classify. In general, it is assumed that this coral from the time of Leipziger Bach once, so between 1723 and 1735. Bach composed the chorale probably for a funeral or in memory of a particular person.
