A Northern Celebration - Fanfare Band
Fanfare Band - This composition was commissioned fanfare of "Nij Libben" from Koudum the occasion of its 50th anniversary. The work is written in a moderately modern idiom and varied according instrumented. The opening of the composition is a solemn and almost herosch tinted brass, which is followed by a slow Andante Moderato, in which the main theme is gexposeerd. The lively rhythm of the main theme - supported by ditto guidance - gives color to the melodic lines, in the course of the game different guises. The slow middle part is very lyrical in nature. The melodious theme of it is used by the tenor register and continue with the addition of voices from other registers up to finally culminate in a tutti setting. The middle part is very natural in a sparkling Allegro, by the percussion subtly designed and developed. The orchestra is the rhythmic and technical elaboration clearly challenged to reach a climax. After the opening fanfare returns back and leads to a worthy end of this festive composition.
